Job Description
Vision: We anticipate you to possess a robust outlook on the future and the technological needs of Nederlandse Loterij in the realm of data. Collaborating with the team of leads and (Data) architects, you'll assess and choose new technologies to formulate fresh strategies.
Strategic planning: You'll devise and execute a comprehensive strategic roadmap for the real-time data platform on Azure/Databricks, as well as for the DWH transitioning to the new data platform.
Engineering: Your approach to data engineering is hands-on, bolstered by substantial self-acquired knowledge and skills in the domain. While you still find enjoyment in coding, you also leverage your expertise to aid and motivate others through enhanced standards, methodologies, and procedures.
Team: The Data Management team comprises Product Owners, Engineers, Analysts, and Specialists. Your role involves serving as a mentor and visionary, steering the department in alignment with Nederlandse Loterij’s strategic vision.
Quality: Operational excellence, particularly within the data management domain, is of paramount importance at Nederlandse Loterij. In your capacity, you'll ensure robust Data Governance and Data quality, with a keen emphasis on legislative adherence and compliance.
Additionally, you'll be responsible for:
- Initiating and overseeing strategic data management initiatives to bolster existing and future business strategies.
- Defining the optimal approach to managing data within business processes and translating this into procedures and operational methods.
- Supervising personnel engaged in data warehouse management, data lake administration, and the transfer of data from operational to analytical systems, alongside intensive stakeholder management.
- Ensuring timely and accurate delivery of data by the department, operating at the nexus of business and IT.
- Holding budgetary responsibility for the Data Management department and possessing the authority to make decisions within the realm of Data Management.
Functie eisen
- At least five years of demonstrated expertise and experience in data management and leading technical teams, coupled with a well-defined vision in this domain.
- Preferably holding a university degree in Information Management, Data & Analytics, Organizational Studies, Business Economics, or Business Administration.
- Possessing extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in critical data areas such as data lakes, business intelligence, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and familiarity with Scrum and/or SAFe methodologies.
- Exhibiting exceptional situational awareness and adept coaching skills, showcasing leadership that is tailored to individual circumstances.
- Demonstrated experience in guiding and implementing change processes effectively.
